Living Young, Wild & Free

Yong, Wild & Free? No, I am not talking about the song, I am talking about the much famous and old cafe at Satyaniketan- Young, Wild, Free. Just at the end of the lanes of the Satyaniketan, is this cafe and I won't be surprised if you tell me that you've been going here since a long time! With some quirky interiors, great music and low prices this cafe has been serving some lip smacking food since 3 years!
Talking about the interiors, they have put graffiti on one of their walls, and some basic wooden  furniture on the other. With some books on the wall, you can also shoo away your boredom if you're waiting for someone or have just come for some alone time.

The seating of the cafe is very different, its a sofa style seating where you could just take off your shoes and sit comfortably, chit-chat for hours have their amazing food. Also, for all the hukkah lovers, they have some great hukkah flavours as well, so go check 'em out.

Now, finally as we come to food.
First thing first, we ordered our drinks:

Peach mojito: Basic mojito with a hint of peach. I really liked this drink. Very refreshing.

Chocolate Brownie Shake: So good! This shake was quite thick just like a brownie shake is meant to be! Totally loved this one. A must try when you're here.

Coming to the food now, we ordered:

Young Wild Free Pasta: The names says it all, it was the "chef's special" and as the name was, the dish was just as special. Not your regular pasta, a very different blend of sauces and served with 2 garlic breads.

Lemon alfredo penne pasta: A basic white sauce pasta with a hint of lemon in it, it was very different from the pastas we usually have!

Cheesy fries: Crispy fries served with mustard sauce! It was one of the best cheesy fries I have ever had.

Lemon Chicken: Big pieces of chicken topped with lemons, tossed in a tangy sauce and served alongside some fresh veggies. It was not like the regular lemon chicken that I have, quite different but I didn't really like the taste as it was just too lemony for me!

Butter Chicken Pizza: My two favorite dishes together: Butter Chicken & Pizza! YAY!!! Thin crust pizza topped with chunks of butter chicken and loads of cheese. A great option to try.

Veg. Pizza: After having the Oh-so-good Butter chicken Pizza I didn't think I would've liked veg pizza and it was exactly the case. The veg. pizza was a little off deal for me. So, wouldn't recommend that!

Chinese Bhel: A very different concept! At first I thought I wouldn't like it but as I started to eat I really liked it. Fried noodles topped with onions, bell peppers and tossed in chinese sauces. Just so yum. Also, 10 points for innovation.

Fully Loaded Nachos: Nachos with cheese flowing on top. It looked delectable but wasn't so as I started eating. Quite like the normal Nachos topped with cheese. Could've been better.

Grilled Cottage Cheese stick: Haven't tried this before so thought of giving it a try. A very unique dish.

Grilled pepper Chicken Steak: Just as good as it looks. One of the must have dishes when you're here. Surely, a treat for all the non-vegetarian lovers..

Mexican Cottage Cheese Quesadilla: The filling was just too good but the outer part was a no-no for me, found it a little too oily. Not one of my fav. dishes here!

Chicken and Chips: Surely, one of the best dishes from this place. Crispy from the outside and soft and juicy chicken from the inside, Just the perfect combination. Served with fries and a delicious mayonnaise dip.

While hogging on the delectable food of YWF, chit-chatting for hours, playing board games and watching cartoon on the screen, my Sunday was surely a Sun-YAY!! Thanks Young, Wild, Free for the warm hospitality and great food!!
